Siena at Summerlin is a 665-acre active adult community being developed by Sunrise Colony Company for individuals over the the age 50 . When complete, the village will feature 1,900 luxury single-story homes and villas, and 18-hole golf course designed by Schmidt-Curley of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Lake Siena, a quarter-mile man-made water feature with cascading waterfalls.

The course is fun, which is the way talented designers Brian Curley and Lee Schmidt wanted it, but there's also plenty of challenge. Siena offers a nice blend of doglegs and straightaway holes, and enough length variances to give players a chance to swing most of the clubs in their bag. Most of the fairways are fairly generous on the course, but the strategic bunkering around the greens gives the course real teeth.
